COVID protocol-friendly Childcare
(and/or supervision of virtual schooling)

Job outline:

We’re a family of four living in northeast Austin near Mueller. Parents Bob and Kate are both entrepreneurs with our own businesses and offices in our garage. We need help with our two kids during the day.

● Oliver - 8 yrs old (2nd grade)and Apollo - 6 yrs old (K)

● Both boys are developmentally typical, playful, energetic, inquisitive, and happy kids

● Both are participating in virtual school at Magnolia Montessori from home

● We’re looking for both RN’s, aspiring RN’s, teachers, aspiring teachers, and anyone who just loves being around kids this age.

● Must be 18 years or older.

● Overall flexible schedule but we’re interested in having help Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings especially and we could do weekday shifts between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm and maybe one evening/date night a week for a total of 12-24 hours.

● We are happy to guarantee a certain # of hours.

Looking for someone who is:

Willing to supervise and also play with kids of this age (high energy!) and a great communicator.

Willing to do some very light housework (folding clothes, dishes etc.) when boys are occupying themselves.

Flexible.

Special consideration:

Apollo has a complex gastrointestinal disease and has occasional episodes of acute illness that often require hospitalization.

COVID 19 protocol friendly :)

Someone familiar with Conscious Discipline techniques would be great.

And/or a person with a career interest in complex medical conditions or early childhood education.

COVID 19:

We have K-N95 masks available for your use.

We’re practicing social distancing and we always wear masks when out. We try not to go into buildings (i.e. stores, etc.) when we do we always wear K-N95.
